Each year, Rotary will selects 100 scholars (50 two-year master’s degree fellowships and 50 three-month professional development certificate fellowships) to study conflict resolution, peace studies, and international relations at one of the seven Rotary Centres worldwide. 
 
Each Rotary district may nominate an unlimited number of candidates for a world competitive selection process The inaugural Rotary Peace Centres program took place during the 2002-03 academic year (2003 aca-demic year in the Southern Hemisphere). Rotary Peace Fellowship applications are available for download from the Rotary International website on www.rotary.org. 
 
Rotary Peace Fellows must meet all requirements for admission into their chosen university for a masters-level program. They must possess excellent leadership skills and relevant work or volunteer experience, demonstrating a commitment to a career devoted to peace, conflict resolution, and international understanding. Rotary Peace Fellows also must be proficient in a second language, including that of the host university.
